In collaboration with the talented local team at Cumulus Studios and trusted builder Vos, the new Departure Lounge design captures the natural charm of Northern Tasmania. Soft, earthy tones, warm timber finishes, natural fabrics, and stone touches that create a calm and welcoming space.
The refreshed Lounge is thoughtfully designed to suit all kinds of travellers—whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to get some work done (with plenty of charging ports), a comfortable space to gather with family or friends, or a relaxed dining area to enjoy a meal. All with views over the airfield, Mount Barrow and Ben Lomond!
Throughout 2025 and early 2026 we delivered
- Three new food and beverage outlets that celebrate local flavours, ingredients, and stories
- Upgraded and expanded amenities
- Fresh new décor, flooring, and furnishings
- Faster, upgraded Wi-Fi
The next phase of our Terminal development is to expand and modernise the Gate Lounges.
In April 2026 we commence building a new Gate Lounge to ease congestion and future proof the Airport to accommodate our increasingly growing passenger numbers.
Along with an additional Gate, the existing gates will be refurbished and the gate lounge area will reflect its sense of place with warm timber finishes and soft earthy tones.
