In collaboration with the talented local team at Cumulus Studios and trusted builder Vos, the new Departure Lounge design captures the natural charm of Northern Tasmania. Soft, earthy tones, warm timber finishes, natural fabrics, and stone touches that create a calm and welcoming space.
The refreshed Lounge is thoughtfully designed to suit all kinds of travellers—whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to get some work done (with plenty of charging ports), a comfortable space to gather with family or friends, or a relaxed dining area to enjoy a meal. All with views over the airfield, Mount Barrow and Ben Lomond!
We’re excited to share that this redevelopment is well underway and set to be completed in 2026! Here’s what you can expect:
- Three new food and beverage outlets that celebrate local flavours, ingredients, and stories – Gatty’s Bar & Kitchen, Liv Eat and Kanamaluka have all opened.
- Upgraded and expanded amenities in both the Departures Hall and Gate Lounges have opened, making your travel experience more comfortable. Arrivals Hall amenities will be completed in early 2026.
- Fresh new décor, flooring, and furnishings throughout the Lounge, with even more charging ports to keep you powered up (estimated early 2026).
- An upgraded flight information display system, arriving in early 2026 to help keep you informed with ease.
- Faster, upgraded Wi-Fi – already up and running!
