Check-In Overview

29.10.25

When can I check in for my flight?

Jetstar Check-in opens 120 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time.

Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia Check-in opens 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

How do I use the self check-in kiosks?

Watch the video or review the prompts below to find out how to check in at Launceston Airport.

To begin, simply select your airline and follow the easy on-screen prompts.

You’ll be asked to scan your passport, enter your booking reference or scan your mobile boarding pass.

Confirm you’re not carrying any prohibited items, and select the number of bags you’d like to check in.

You can also change selected seats if you want to.

Once that’s done, your boarding pass and baggage tags will print out.

Just attach the tags to the side handle of your bags, make sure you’re within your baggage allowance, and head over to the auto bag drop.

At all times airlines staff are available to assist you if needed.

If there are additional documents or visa requirements, airline staff will need to review these documents to be able to issue a boarding pass, then you can complete self-service bag drop.

At the bag drop kiosk, place only one bag at a time on its side with the baggage tag facing up. Scan your boarding pass and follow any prompts on the screen until your bag passes through. If you have more than one bag, follow the same process and when all bags are through, you can head through security.
