Annual Parking Permit

Are you a frequent parker?

If you’re a regular traveller, why not make life a little easier with an Annual Parking Permit?

These handy Permits let you come and go as you please, using your nominated vehicle licence plate for unlimited entries and exits over twelve months.

We offer special pricing for Annual Permits:

  • Flinders & King Island Residents can enjoy an Annual Permit for just $885 (you’ll need to provide proof of residence)
  • Residents from all other regions can secure yours for $1450 per year.

(Please note: Annual Permits are valid for Short Stay and Long Stay car parks only. Parking rates may change at any time at the discretion of Launceston Airport.)

If this sounds like just what you need, it’s simple to sign up with our partner ZipBy.

Flinders & King Island Residents can sign up here. Once you have signed up to ZipBy, close the app and then click this link to complete your purchase or renewal of an Annual Pass.

Residents from other regions sign up here. Once you have signed up to ZipBy, close the app and then click this link to complete your purchase or renewal of an Annual Pass.

You’ll be able to easily track your usage and manage your subscription anytime through the ZipBy app.

Please Note: Each Permit is for the registered vehicle licence plate only. If you sell or change your vehicle, you will need to remove the vehicle from your ZipBy account and cancel the Permit. You will need to contact us to process a pro-rata refund for the Annual Permit you are cancelling. You will then need to apply for a new 12 month Permit from that date. Just click the correct Permit link above and follow the steps to link your new vehicle plate.

Happy parking!

Annual Parking Permit FAQ's

  • What is ZipBy?

Zipby uses Bluetooth and cameras to recognise your vehicle automatically.

  • Why can't I download the ZipBy app?

User devices must be running iPhone 12.2 or later or Android 9 or later (full version) in order to use the ZipBy app. If you cannot use the app, you can sign up via the ZipBy website.

  • What if the gate doesn't open?

Sometimes the cameras are unable to clearly read your plates if the plates are dirty or obscured (eg, a bicycle rack) or if you drive up to quickly or at an unusual angle.

If safe, reverse a little, straighten your vehicle and drive slowly towards the boom gate

If this fails: Use your Backup QR Code. Every Zipby permit has a QR code in the app. If the camera can’t see your plate, just hold your phone up to the scanner at the gate.

  • Who can I contact if I need more help?

If you have a Permit and have tried all the trouble-shooting steps and these do not work, press the intercom button at the top right of the in-lane entry device.
