Launceston Airport wins 2014 Tasmanian Tourism Award
Launceston Airport has won the Specialised Tourism Services Award at the 2014 Tasmanian Tourism Awards.
Paul Hodgen, General Manager Launceston Airport, said the award recognised a great team effort.
“We are thrilled to win this prestigious award as it recognises our contribution to the ongoing success of tourism and the important role aviation plays in Tasmania’s tourism industry,” said Mr Hodgen.
Mr Hodgen continued, “We recently introduced a new company vision that focuses on the customer experience and although we’ve still got work to do, this award acknowledges the work we’ve already done as we aim to become Tasmania’s port of choice.”
“It was also fantastic to see so many other northern Tasmanian businesses recognised for their contribution to tourism in the region.
The Tasmanian Tourism Awards is presented by the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania (TICT) and promotes excellence within the Tasmanian tourism industry.
All gold award winners are now finalists in the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards held early next year in Adelaide.
