Launceston airport is delighted to be selected as a finalist for the forthcoming Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania, 2014 State Tourism Awards.
Commenting on the nomination, Paul Hodgen, General Manager Launceston Airport said “It is fantastic that the airport has been recognised for the pivotal role it plays in fostering growth in air travel and economic development in the north of the state. As a key access point for tourism and business, the airport plays a crucial part in supporting the local economy and in particular the success and viability of many tourism operators and attractions in the region”.
Walker Designs of Launceston assisted with the compilation of the thirty page submission made by the airport to the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania Judges. The Launceston airport team are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the finals, with the Tasmanian Tourism Awards winners for 2014 due to be announced in Hobart on 7th November.
